Permafrost bacteria may slow down ageing

Not sure of the accuracy of this one, but it’s an interesting story nonetheless: Bacteria from the Russian permafrost may slow down aging.  Scientists injected a species of bacteria extracted from the frozen turf in Siberia into mice, which apparently made them age slower.

I’m always leery of things that are supposed to “slow down” or “reverse” aging.  I totally want this to be true, and applicable to humans… but the odds aren’t too good, if you ask me.
